The fastest-growing segment of the television industry is cable television, also called Community antenna television (CATV). It1 operates by means of an antenna capable of receiving distant2 television station signals. Attached to the antenna is the cable to bring the signal to subscribers3’ homes which4 may receive it through microwaves. It is now available5 in many areas, supplying better reception than the ordinary direct systems of local stations when large buildings stand between the station and the receiving set.
