Regarding the lead bonding fractions in the contaminated soil, the iron–manganese oxide bond fraction accounted for 39.0%, followed by the organic bond fraction (27.9%), carbonate bond fraction (13.1%), exchangeable fraction (10.8%), and residual fraction (9.2%). According to sequence extraction theory (Tessier et al., 1979), exchangeable and carbonate bond fractions were the main components of phytoavailable, accounting for approximately 24% of the total lead content. The mean lead content of the site was 5844.2 mg/kg; thus, the phytoavailable-Pb content was approximately 1400 mg/kg.
