Searching in the School Library for something interesting to read, I came across this book. Just like my previous book, I had never heard of this author before, but apparently, she has written more books for this series. The spine design (of the book) intrigued me.
This is the first book in the series, let me tell you more about the plot. There are two sisters, who live in New York, called Sam and Sophie. One morning, Sam decides for her and Sophie to run away from their Stepmother, as their parents have died. They run away to Venice, Indiana, where Sam’s friend Felix and his colleague Difriggio have set up a plan. They change their appearance, and their names. Sophie’s enemy Noelle has gone missing, and the sister’s are blamed, as they were the last to see her. In an attempt to prove their innocence, they themselves try to solve the case. Read this book, you might read it all at once, (like I did), as it draws you in.
My favourite character is Gus, as the author has portrayed his character well and it is very descriptive. Whilst he is a ‘tramp’, he has been hiding a VERY big secret that could help Sam and Sophie…
In my opinion, I would rate this book 3.5/5 and would recommend it for 10 years upwards, as there is some adult humour in this book.
