Table 4 shows the two analyses for antioxidant activity and
concentration of carotenoids in lipophilic extracts. The Elliott cultivar
had the highest concentration of carotenoids, but there was
a difference between different harvest seasons and locations.
When harvested in Campestre da Serra in 2010/2011, there were
more carotenoids (35.2 lg of b-carotene/g DW) than when
harvested in Vacaria in 2011/2012 (24.6 lg of b-carotene/g DW).
