The Northern Territory community of Wadeye has "a bad rap" for violence, but Sergeant Scott Rose of the local police says that with over 20 clans in one place, that's what you'll get. That's Sergeant Rose winning a contested mark against an opponent half his age. The local football tournament collapsed in 2013 after many players left or were imprisoned, but restarted in 2014 in an attempt to help stop the violence. With the help of dedicated officers like Sergeant Rose, who was helping to calm angry spectators minutes after leaving the field following a heavy tackle, it seems to have worked.
