The BMW 3200CS is an important car for the brand – it set the template for the coupes upon which its more modern history draws upon. Its Giugiaro-penned lines exude pure class – and its a shame that just 50 are thought to remain. It's quick as well – perhaps not lightning-so, but 160bhp was a lot in the early Sixties. The 3.2-litre V8 may not look as overtly pretty as other European engine efforts, but with a twitch of the toe on the throttle you shouldn't really be concerned with that.
