As Head of Department of Pediatrics, I have had pleasure of knowing Dr. Pacharapan SURAPOLCHAI (AAMC) (ID 12212847) for the last seven years. Over the last four years, Dr. SURAPOLCHAI had served as an outstanding pediatrics resident in our department before being called to be a lecturer at Thammasat University in Bangkok. She also had a 2-year fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University (Ramathibodi Hospital), Bangkok.
When Dr. SURAPOLCHAI was a pediatric resident in our Department, she consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, persistence and intellectual integrity. Besides being a joy to work with, Dr. SURAPOLCHAI was highly responsible with her ward work and consistently pleasant, tackling all assignments with dedication and courage.
Dr. SURAPOLCHAI has demonstrated outstanding academic performance, a direct result of hard work and focus. She ranked 7th among the 110 candidates of the Thai Board of Pediatrics. Her research ability was clearly demonstrated as a pediatric resident and fellow in Hematology/Oncology, when she had opportunity to do work on “Salmonellosis in children under 2-years-old with acute diarrhea at Srinagarind Hospital in 2002-2003” and on the “Association between genetic polymorphism of B-cell differentiation genes and insulin resistance (B-cell dysfunction) in survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia”.
I highly recommend Dr. SURAPOLCHAI for further study at your institution. If you have any questions regarding this recommendation please do not hesitate to contact me.
