We went shopping where I had to get presents for all the people who had asked me. After that we had a meal in a fancy restaurant. After we paid the bill and left, we went to the Empire State Building. It was amazing! We were able to see for miles and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The tour guide told us that we had the perfect weather for seeing New York. We made another quick round of the shops where I bought more presents, the most of which were chocolate bars and key rings because these were the only things I could afford having to buy so many presents, and then back to the hotel for dinner. After dinner I went up to the room to watch television, that’s when I saw it, there was a hurricane tearing across America and was headed for New York. I sat there gazing at the T.V. not believing what I was hearing; the hurricane was an F5, which was a very, very strong hurricane. I ran down six floors, not having the patience to wait for the elevator. By the time I reached my parents I was out of breath and not able to tell them what I had heard, but they could tell there was something wrong. When I finally got my breath back all I could do was whisper; we’re in trouble. They asked; why? But I cold only point to the elevator. We went back to our room and they watch open mouthed at the television. Then they said; pack up we’re flying home tonight. Almost like an omen the TV reporter said; all flights have been cancelled until the hurricane has passed. We all just sat there and without saying anything I went to bed.
