Lignin structure is known to be barely altered when lignocellulosic materials are treated with dilute acids or hot water at high
temperatures. In our study, lignin recoveries slightly decreased with temperature when treatment temperature exceeded 200 C. The minimum lignin recovery percentages (86.1% and 87.8%) were obtained after DSA and LHW assays carried out at 210 C and 220 C, respectively. The lignin content rose at 230 C for both treatments (Fig. 2B).
