ATTENTION: For your safety, never mix different pool treatment chemicals together before adding them to your
pool
It is recommended that dry chemicals be mixed into water in dosages of about ONE KILOGRAM, and that the predissolved
mixture be distributed evenly around the pool unless directed otherwise. It is best to circulate the water when adding
chemicals to your pool. Be sure to follow all instructions found on the manufacturer’ product label.

A chlorine shock treatment is needed. This should be made at night or when the pool is not being used. In order
for superchlorination of algae to be fully effective, a 15ppm level of the sanitizer should be attained. The pool
should not be used until the free available chlorine concentration is again within the ideal range.
Add => 19.6 l (5 gal 1 qt 1 pt 9.49 oz ) Sodium Hypochlorite Shock
• Superchlorination is required.
Be sure to carefully mix this product with ample water before adding to the pool. Add the chemical to your pool in
dosages of about 18.53 kg . Allow the water to circulate at least 4 to 6 hours between each adjustment.
Add => 55.6 kg (122 lb 9.6 oz ) Calcium Chloride
• Hardness is low.
This will raise the alkalinity level to the recommended range. Split the recommended dosage into three treatments.
Allow the pool to circulate at least 6 to 8 hours between each of the three partial adjustments. It is best to mix this
chemical with water before adding it to the pool.
Add => 29.7 kg (65 lb 6.2 oz ) Sodium Bicarbonate
• Alkalinity level is low.
Split the recommended dosage into three treatments. Allow the pool to circulate at least 6 to 8 hours between each
of the three partial adjustments. It is best to mix this chemical with water before adding it to the pool.
Add => 1.5 kg (3 lb 4.3 oz ) Soda Ash
