TEM images of mesoporous silica materials were obtained on a JEM-2100F model (JEOL) operated at 200 kV, and the morphological features of zeolite 13X were examined by SEM (Hitachi, S-4200). The amount of PEI introduced to the mesoporous silica samples was measured by TGA (SCINCO, thermal gravimeter S-1000); PEI-impregnated mesoporous silica samples were heated at 5 ◦C/min to 750 ◦C under a N2 flow. The morphology of MWCNTs from synthesized zeolite 13X was examined by SEM and TEM, and the Raman spectra of the CNT products were taken using a LabRAM HR UV/Vis/NIR.
