The first 15 subjects were asked to place the BSN node at their shoulder and the rest were asked to place the BSN node at their wrist (as shown in Figure 1 (a) and Figure 1 (b)). Each subject then was asked to sit down facing at the same direction, in this case, at the east. Eight shoulder rehabilitation protocols, i.e., shoulder flexion, shoulder extension, shoulder adduction, shoulder abduction, shoulder horizontal adduction, shoulder horizontal abduction, shoulder internal rotation and shoulder external rotation, on both left and right sides were performed by each subject. From the starting position of each protocol, the subject was asked to hold his/her arm for two seconds and then move the arm to the next position. Figure 2 shows example snapshots of the data collection process. The sensory signals were streamed over a wireless network and stored on a computer for further processing.
