The Advisor
This fan (see Image 1), usually a past bride or a brand, responds to questions and calls for advice,
referencing personal experiences as evidentiary support. Advice is always well received and the
advisor is one of the most positive roles. Brands using this role build consumer confidence in the
brand and seem organically to engage in conversation.
• The Student
A student (see Image 2), usually a soon-to-be bride, asks for advice from other community members about
basic etiquette and customs. These users are normally seeking information as well as support. Brands never
partake in this kind of role, as it would make the brand seem naïve and erode brand trust.
