Extrarole behavior has previously been measured with the
Citizenship Performance Scale (e.g., Kang, Gold, & Kim, 2013), because there
is no universally accepted scale to measure extrarole behavior. We employed a
four-item scale adapted from Blader and Tyler (2009), to assess subordinates’
extrarole behavior. A sample item is: “He/she volunteers to do things that are not
required in order to help the company.”
