The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force has praised the courage and dedication of the pilot who died on Friday in an F-16 fighter, saying he went down with his plane to avoid crashing into villagers home
"The pilot sacrificed himself and chose not to eject from the aircraft because he was concerned the plane would crash into a local community and put people in danger," ACM Treetod Sonjance, the commander-in-chief
told a memorial for Noppanon Niwasanon, the pilot of the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
