The fungal count was somewhat related to EC (r = 0.594). In the
burned site, fire might have created new environmental conditions
that encouraged microbial abundance. It is also worth noting that 2
months after the fire the bacteria to fungi ratio (B/F ratio) was
higher in the burned sites. The B/F ratio was 64.27 for the burned
site and 12.06 for the unburned site (Table 3).
