All HR items were measured by asking HR managers about current HR
practices, and the specific items are included in the Appendix. These items
were developed from existing strategic HR studies (Delaney & Huselid, 1996;
Delery & Doty, 1996; Huselid, 1995; Pil & MacDuffie, 1996).
