requires greater supplier coordination and interaction to address
environmental activities. Firms can only achieve overall environmental performance if suppliers
provide environmental friendly products through environmental
friendly technologies.
Increasing environmental collaboration significantly and positively
relates to increasing buying firms' investment in environmental
programs, such as pollution prevention technologies and extensive
strategic level integration with suppliers. Some of the literature
indicates that firms' environmental purchasing activities are directly
and positively impacted by suppliers, and particularly by increased
vertical coordination between buyers and suppliers
