You have raised very valid points and from a companywide perspective I would agree with you. On a local perspective I would tend to disagree, these events (2 so far I believe) have been an outstanding success from my point of view and has delivered positive value to the company. The group as a whole reacts very well to these events, they work harder, work longer hours and also work even more harmoniously together which results in better efficiency and greater work output. The group also respects how we treat everyone as an equal, I mean from the FSR level to the admin girl to the driver, all are the same and this generates high goodwill and they also appreciate that the family members are an integral part of the job and the group.
Perhaps it could be reduced somewhat with the explanation of the severity of the oil industry effect and I am sure that this would be accepted, cancelling in entirety would be hard to swallow considering how the Thailand BU is currently performing in H1.
