Thirty sows (Yolkshire and Lanrace) selected from the 3rd and the 4th (ratio 4:6) pregnancy were used to determine the effects of PorcininTM on parturitions of sows and their suckling piglets on performance and health. Supplementation of PorcininTM 0.05 or 0.07% in late gestation and whole period of lactation feeds showed evidence of improvement in both sows and piglets productive performance and health under practical farming condition; as all criteria like total birth weight of piglets per litter, number of piglets born alive and weaning, total weight at weaning per litter and body weight of piglets at weaning, survival rate at weaning and uniformity of body weight of piglets at weaning by the PorcininTM treatments. Milk yields were also improved by PorcininTM treatments. The PorcininTM groups showed better improvement in body weight loss during the overall period of lactation and also decreased in sow’s overall back fat loss which showed a healthier sow and faster return from weaning to service.
