Methods of analysis: pH of extract

Methods of analysis: pH of extract was determined by the method of Thompson, (1984). Titratable acidity and oil content were determined by the method of A.O.A.C, (1980). Phytate and Tannin were determined by the method of Reddy and Love, (1999), modified by Nkamiya, et al., (2007). Oxalate was determined by the method of Agbede, (2007); Alkaloids was determined by the method of Haborne, (2007) modified by Adeniyi, et al., (2009); Alkaline and acid phosphatase activities were determined by the method of Mishra and Dubey, (2008). α-Amylase activity was determined by the method of Okolie and Ugochuckwu, (1988). The extract of all the enzymes assayed was analysed for protein using Biuret methods of Gornall, et al., (1949).
