In the ReMeDi (Remote Medical Diagnostician) project a
robotic system is developed that enables medical teleexamination
of patients. The ReMeDi system supports doctors
to perform remotely i) a physical examination, including
palpation, and/or ii) ultrasonography. The multifunctional
robotic system is envisioned to provide a control console with
advanced interfaces, including a haptic device (see Fig. 1). This
