I like to bring up one issue for your to conduct a detail study as how we can improve the toner inventory for PSV (Venlo Cut Sheet) products.
Issue:
1) I understood that all technicians who serviced Oce brand products will carry 10 boxes of toner in their car on a daily basis
2) I also understood that our technicians have to replenish the toners for Oce brand machines instead of the customers themselves
Areas of Concern:
1) If someone broke into the car & stole the toners, who is responsible for the missing toners ?
2) Different customers will have different printing volume and thus, the # pieces of toner required will vary from one customer to another customer. Why 10 boxes of toner across all technicians ?
3) Because of point #2 above, when we have no physical stock in our warehouse, the planner will raise the purchase order to CSPL. CSPL will always questioning us of why we still want to buy toners while the system showed we still have enough stock.
4) To my understanding, we offered the replenishment of toners to Oce brand machines (we do it on behalf of customers) but Fuji Xerox & Ricoh in Thailand do not provide this type of services.
5) For the point #3 above, will that resulted the productivity of our technician being affected ?
