On the positive side, the resort is nice, and seems to be well maintained. There is a large lobby, and a nice little bar in the lobby area. Great... if someone serves you.
We came in on snowmobiles. Considering the area and the time of year (between Christmas and NYE), skiers and snowmobilers are the target audience. We came in at 5:00 and sat at the bar. The bartender ignored us for a while, and allowed a group of three people to commandeer six bar stools so they'd have room for their feet on the stool next to them. When he finally got to us, it was 5:15. We asked about getting gas, and he said they close the pumps at 5:00. We asked if he would check it out, because we don't have enough gas to get back to where we are staying, and there is no other gas in between.
It took him another 15 minutes to get back to us, during which time the other bartender, who was in training, ignored us. When he returned, he unapologetically told us the pump closes at 5, and we can't get gas. We reminded him that we would probably run out of gas on an isolated trail while it's 10 degrees outside. He basically shrugged his shoulders and offered us nothing. Then, I finally was able to get a beer. Sorry I didn't get his name. But, he was young, thin, and had large "gauges" in his ear. So, if you are the hotel manager, you know who I mean.
