Introduction
I've been spending time lately developing a style and technique for myself, and would like to share it with you. You can see all the designs on my Behance portfolio. We'll learn how to create the first one, by using a few art and Photoshop techniques. But rather than encouraging you to reproduce my work, I urge you to polish your personal talent and develop originality within your design.
The name of the game here is experimentation. And to be able to create something of this style, you too need to find a way to get there with your own resources. So, use this tutorial as a reference to create something that represents you and your style. Also, you can read up more about creating originality in your design and illustration work.
The first thing to do is acknowledge current trends that you admire and that inspire you. Bookmark everything and begin to analyze it. I've set my eyes on doodling, a fun and exciting way to draw. I recommend doodlage as a great and fun place to seek inspiration in this field. For a review of Doodlage, and interview with the site editors, see the post Inspiration - Doodlage. Once I knew what I wanted, I sought brushes and cut off any external sources of inspiration as I began to experiment. You may want to take a look at the post that shows what other members of the Psdtuts+ are experimenting with as well. It also shows some of my older doodles.
