These were what I saw all along the road to my home. An Images of a black plastic bag, decayed wooden furniture and the damp soaked sand bags piled up like a bunker from war after flooded.
Before the flood crisis hit Bangkok, Most of residents whom living in this area spared theirsand bag to prevent the water not to flow in their house. Sand bags price were risen from 15 cent till almost 3$ each,
When the flood actually came, they were left behind their houses for two or three weeks, later they came back down-hearted, feeling sorrow for their lost and then started to cleaning their places and begun to do an assessment of damages. The public spaces were covered with the garbages dump from the habitants that hasn't had any space in front of their place. The district dustmen can't do their operation well because the whole massive garbage dump is everywhere in flooded area.
But there were still some people who not left away while the flooded. Most of them are local people who earned living day-by-day work for wages. When there are full of rubbish heap on the street, they were searching things out to sale at junk shop. I saw things that lay on the street, sun bathing, for example traveller suitcases, a comic set, Nat Geo magazine and some household goods that still functioned. They've looked for anything that should made them a price.
I've talked to some of them who wandered around the street everyday, he said his son
was searching goods for sale too. One day he found a gold necklace hidden under the bottom shelf of the decomposed cupboard.
