Confront the perpetrator. If you are an employee who is harassed, document every incident, including dates and times as well as everything that was said and done and by whom. Include the names of witnesses, if any. If you feel safe and comfortable in doing so, arrange to speak to the offending individual. Remain calm and professional, pointing out that your work is affected by the hostile environment. Advise the harasser that unless the objectionable conduct ceases, you will take action. Document the conversation. If the conduct continues, follow through.
