In the current
study, the tri-reforming reactor is to be operated at the optimum
conditions (temperature and pressure), which have
been identified through sensitivity studies, to achieve the
ideal ratio of H2/CO ¼ 2.0. Moreover, the methanol synthesis
reactor is operated at the optimum temperature and pressure
that have been discussed in the literature [28]. Therefore, the
extent of side reactions in the methanol synthesis reactor
under investigation should be minimal.
