Palmfiber is a natural packaging material made of 100% palm fiber pulp. Palm fiber is a natural, renewable resource. The food packaging is compostable and recyclable. The products will decompose within 90 days. Before Earthcycle's natural packaging and paper alternative, the leftover palm fiber had to be incinerated or landfilled, creating a waste stream in the process and negative impacts for the environment and health of communities. Now, with the design concept of Earthcycle, the fiber continues its useful life in the form of disposable packaging and paper/carton packaging. Next to food packaging,& other developments in prototype stage include outer cartons and inner trays for the cosmetic industries. Palmfiber is available in a minimum thickness off 0.6mm, is processed by vacuum thermoforming. The result is a embossable, and printable packaging material, which can be used in microwave, oven or fridge.
