Imperial College was founded in 1851 after the great exhibition of the
British Empire and now consists of 4 major faculties spanning between
Natural Science, Engineering, Medicine and Business
- The college hosts students from 130 counties, including Thailand, in
Undergraduate, postgraduate the PhD programmes
- The Wellcome Trust Centre for Global Health Research at Imperial
College has collaborative activities in Thailand as a partner country.
Research themes under focus include Dengue Fever (ใข้เลือดออก),
Cholangiocarcinoma (มะเร็งท่อนํ้าดี) and HIV
- The college has a dedicated Wellcome Trust Strategic Support Funding
scheme to help mobilise researchers from countries such a Thailand to
pursue a doctoral degree at Imperial College
