Hi all,
We all know that as a teacher using lecture based teaching method will, somehow, eventually lead to boringness of some students. Many times we have asked them to read before class only fews had done so. But what if we provide them with other forms of content-delivery for example, Google classroom or Facebook messenger (or any other forms ...) we may be able to win some of them (students) back to our class.
It's been proved that Flipped classroom is one of the techniques higher education professors all across the globe used to scale down failure rate of their students and in some cases raised the percentage of their top students.
We as FEU staff would like to cut down on drop-out rate and to maintain or perhaps bring our students' GPAs up to a distinction levels (more or less). We believe that flipped classroom is one of the answers we should explore to achieve what we aim for.
In order to make it happen we would like to encourage you to incorporate a flipped classroom technique for your classes. You can start with one or two classes or even some sessions. I have heard that some of you have been using the flipped classroom technique, perhaps you can help others on how to go about it.
Attached to this mail are some examples of used flipped classrooms from some universities. You can also find more from the Internet.
FEU where knowledge comes with fun.
Best regards

ps. If you have used flipped classroom technique, please let me know the result e.g. percentage of success full students compared to not using flipped classroom etc.
