The levels of total phenolics
in the bran part of five red-pericarp mutants ranged from 41.32
(waxy type mutant M-74) to 51.30 (waxy type mutant M-71) mg
gallic acid g1 bran dry weight, which were greater than the red
rice data (26e40 mg gallic acid g1 bran dry weight) reported by
Goffman and Bergman (2004).
