This polysomnogram was performed as a split night study. The baseline portion of this study
reveals moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. The obstructive events were associated with
arousal and mild to moderate oxygen desaturations (nadir of 84%). The obstructive events were
observed mostly during supine sleep consistent with positional sleep apnea. Abnormal sleep
architectures with frequent arousal and sleep fragmentations were likely due to the respiratory events and the first night effect.
