Similar research questions with a descriptive or politically-charged focus could be asked in projects relating to the needs of the elderly in the Asia Pacific region, in connection to environmental health,communicable and non-communicable diseases, and health systems development issues.
For the research questions to be appropriate for qualitative projects they need to focus on human experiences of health
and illness in ageing (interpretive qualitative) and on addressing socio-political inequities in ageing and aged care (critical qualitative).
