whether effective approaches exist to minimize N2O emissions
from aquaponics.
The variations of water quality parameters (i.e., DO, TAN, NO2
,
NO3
concentrations, pH, and temperature) were also monitored
during N2O measurement. Results showed that dissolved N2O concentrations
were significantly correlated with NH4 + and NO2
concentrations
(data not shown) and negatively correlated with DO
concentrations (r = 0.603, p < 0.05). This is consistent with our
previous research on aquaculture system, and indicated that nitrification
plays an important role in N2O emissions from aquaponics
