In drying using hot air-infrared combination, heat transfer is
induced simultaneously by hot air flow and infrared radiation.
While heating the sample surface by infrared rays, the air is heated
before passing through over the product unlike drying using
infrared radiation only where the ambient air flows through over
the product without heating it [11]. An advantage of using
combined convective-infrared heat transfer method is that due to
radiation heat transfer, the dried product has a higher quality, and
the drying time is shorter compared to hot air flow or infrared
radiation alone, while energy consumption is reduced [5].
