A piece of satin-fabric measuring 10×10 cm was stretched over
one end of the metallic can (open at both ends with 6.5 cm dia and
4.5 cm height) and fastened in position by a rubber band. Another
one end can (5 cm dia and 7 cm height) was placed centrally on
the cloth. The tray was filled with distilled water at 40±1 °C to a
height of 2.5 cm. A triangle made out of 0.4 cm thick glass rod with
sides measuring 8 cm long was placed in the dish and served to prevent
close contact of the cloth with the bottom of the dish. With the
two cans assembled, and cloth resting on outer can, 1 g of powder
was transferred to the inner can and spread over the 6 cm circle
