ATTRACTION DETAILS
This huge lake played a part in the historic victory of King Naresuan against invading Burmese troops. The lake provided a source of water that fed an army of over 100,000 warriors, elephants and horses. Its advantageous location allowed the king to establish a stronghold, which the Siamese army held for months. Unfortunately, the lake, at present covering an area of only approximately 12 acres, is in poor condition.
