3. Domestic wastewater treatment system: Effluent from toilets, a canteen and a kitchen
will be channeled to the a 2-rai oxidation pond, while the night soil will be treated by
a SATS prefabricated treatment units. The SATS is a biological treatment unit
capable of treating domestic waste to the quality that can be discharged into public
watercourses.
Provide a 1,440 m 3 observation pond to accommodate the treated effluent, with a 4-
day retention time. The water shall be monitored daily. Hereafter, unless signaled by
the monitoring result, the water will flow to the clean water outfall basin which will
retain water for reuse. Having a capacity of approximately 68,200 m 3 , the basin is
designed to hold the final effluent, as well as the rainwater during the wet season.
Most uses will be for irrigating lawn, and for fire fighting reserve.
