• Playing an active role in selecting and developing talents of different levels.
• Promoting talent diversity and encouraging Associates to prepare and take on higher roles.
• Sharing ‘talents’ by availing career development and progression opportunities to the right talent, even when it means losing this person on the team.
• Overall, a strong implementor and champion of ‘Starwood Careers’.

• Going beyond the call of duty to develop/mentor direct reports or other Associates.
• Demonstrating inspirational leadership that motivates Associates to reach their potential.
• Taking on secondary stretch roles to support Property, Region and/or Division in related Talent Development initiatives, such as taking on Mentor roles or cross-training associates from another property.
