After dressing and storing 24 h
at 4 C, all 80 carcasses were weighed, and 4 out ofthe 16
carcasses (1 carcass from each pen) on each treatment were
sectioned in to 2 symmetric halves. In the 20 sectioned
chicken carcasses, the weights of the heart, liver, gizzard,
and pancreas were measured separately. Additionally, carcass yield and relative weights of the heart, liver, gizzard, and pancreas, expressedin g/100 g of BW, were calculated.
