Wastewaters with a dye concentration up to 200 mg/L could be
effectively treated using a 5 min EC treatment. Initial pH of wastewater
was a key parameter of EC and should be maintained between 7 and
8 with Al electrodes, whereas decolorization yield depended only
slightly on initial pH for iron electrodes. As voltage was also nearly
independent of the metal, the electrical power input was similar for Al
and Fe electrodes and differences in specific energy consumption (Edye)
