Preparation of for sensory evaluation
Due to the batch-process nature of brewing tea from tea bags and individual difference in steeping practices, teas were instead preparate from instant tea at room temperature to achieve better standardization.
Two experimental tea were preparate. one at 100% of the lowest known therapeutic dose of RA per 8 oz. (240 mL)serving, and one containing 50% of the lowest of the lowest known therapeutic dost of RA per 8 oz, serving.
Each experimental tea was evaluated relative to a control tea.
All teas were formulated to have the same mass percent of dissolved solids (700 mg solids per 240 mL water) and served without sweeteners or other condiments
