5.7. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
• Site contractors shall comply with the provisions of this procedure. Training shall be conducted by contractor personnel, and will be documented by the contractor and made available at the request of SGS.
• Non-site contractors who may be exposed to chemicals in the course of their work shall be informed of the hazards of those chemicals by the SGS contractor liaison.
• The SGS contact for the contractor or his designee shall be responsible for transmission of appropriate hazard information to contractors and to ensure suitable hazard communications programmes are maintained.
• The SGS contact for the contractor or his designee shall be responsible for obtaining information from the non-site contractor concerning hazardous chemicals that may be brought on the SGS site for use by non-site contractors.
• SDSs must be provided and made available to all personnel for the duration of the job.
• SDSs brought on site for use by contractors must be retained on file after the job is completed
