The development of information and communications
technologies has revolutionized the production and distribution
of a variety of content (e.g., computer-generated imagery).
However, new media technology systems are considerably
different from conventional corporate information systems,
such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), productivity tools,
and work flow systems [73]. Such systems are generally
implemented and deployed within an organization and
are used by individuals within the organization to enhance
the production of numerous types of content. The underlying
technologies advance along the existing technological
trajectory and enhance existing organizational competences to
expand their product and/or service offerings.
