Abstract- Design of a simple microstrip fed monopole patch
antenna for the radio frequency identification (RFID) is
presented. The antenna has two different resonant paths (forming
a C-shaped structure), supports two resonances at around 2.41
GHz and 5.85 GHz, which are reserved for RFID applications.
Effectively consistent radiation pattern and large impedance
bandwidth has been observed. Impedance bandwidth for-If dB
return loss in the 2.41 GHz and 5.85 GHz center frequency
reaches 0.71 GHz (2.04 GHz to 2.75 GHz) and 2.27 GHz (4.58
GHz to 6.85 GHz) respectively.
