Two hundred and thirty-two points were measured, and 171 of these points showed noise levels exceeding 65 dB(A).Mache [6] suggests that 65 dB(A) is the sound level limit for noise exposure of a population in an urban environment, which demonstrates the gravity of the acoustic situation of the traffic hubs evaluated here. All the scenarios simulated to reduce the noise levels revealed that the measures adopted were insufficient to reach the limit of [Leq] =55 dB(A) for noise sensitive areas such as hospitals.
