Nawal et al. (2008) investigate the extraction and identification
of antioxidant compounds in some vegetable and fruit
wastes. New by-products applications should be investigated
to have a positive environmental impact or to turn them into
useful products. Accordingly, the functional properties of
some peel components such as, pectin, flavonoids, carotenoids,
limonene and polymethoxy flavones should be considered
(Li et al., 2007).
