Since about 1990, there has been a rapidly growing debate about whether successful female leaden behaves in the same ways as successful male leaders. Conventional wisdom has long held that they do that while in lower ranks in the women may behave "like a woman," in order to be successful in leader ship positions it is necessary for women emulate the ways of thinking and the behaviors of their male counterparts. In a study to of 456 female corporate executives, political scientist Judy B. Rosener reported that such is not the case, that women i fact use very different leadership styles from men.
