Dear Sir/Madam
I would like to explain as this is my third application for a Tourist visa. I have read through everything I can find about a tourist visa and I know that I do fully qualify to be allowed a visa. I hope with this application to be able to show this. I wish to obtain a visa that will allow me to have a holiday in Australia with my friend Glen Hiron for six weeks before I must return to work on 1st of July.
I can understand why I was refused on the 2 previous occasions. On my first attempt I did it myself with help from my family and some poor advice from free services and internet. I also think that some of the assistance I was given with translation was poor. With my second application I used the services of an agent. I chose Siam Legal because they made out that they could get it easily but the young clerk that made my application seems to have been very inexperienced. Even I can see how poor and incomplete that application was. She was very insistent that we try to make it like a partner visa application and show that I had a strong relationship with Glen and try to portray him as a sponsor. She had very little interest in my employment or my other ties to Thailand. Much of what she wanted to do and put in the final application was against my better judgement but I went along with her, thinking that she must know what she was doing. I feel that the importance of my work and my employment has been greatly understated in the previous application. I have since shown other more experienced people and they have explained where the application was poorly or wrongly done. I have also spoken to a number of other visa agents in Thailand and have not found any that would inspire me to pay for their services or trust that they would make an accurate and professional application.
For this reason I have decided to attempt it again myself. But please, if there is something wrong or lacking please contact me. I know that I do qualify for this visa and it is simply a case of supplying you the information you need to come to that decision. I am a law abiding and honest person and I do not have any criminal record. My parents raised me with a great respect for the law and I am devoted and practising Buddhist. I would definitely comply with the conditions of the visa and because of my commitments it would be impossible for me to stay in Australia for more than a few months anyway.
I hope that this application will show that I have strong ties with Thailand and that I must return here. I have a good job here with good prospects of promotion and salary increase. I have a daughter who is still at school and is totally dependant on me for at least 2 more years. I have just purchased land and have started preparing it for the building of a house. All of my family are here in Thailand including my elderly parents who depend on me for assistance with their farm with the finances and accounting.
Regarding my friend Glen Hiron who has kindly given me a Letter of Invitation to come and visit him in Australia and spend my holiday there. I have known Glen for a year now and after our meeting I know he is a kind and caring man. Although we are still only friends I am convinced that he will take good care of me and provide me with a happy and memorable holiday in Australia. He has met my family and my parents and they fully support me and approve of me having my holiday with him. I want you to know that I hope our relationship does develop and I hope Glen feels the same. I also realise that it is very important to comply with the rules of any visa that is issued and I would not want to damage my chances to get another visa in the future.
I hope to prove strong ties to Thailand in the four areas of employment, dependants, property and family.
About my Employment.
I have worked as a personal assistant for Ms Postjana Auksonsit for 6 years now. I also undertake much of the administration tasks, accounting and customer liason. Last year Ms Postjana opened a small coffee shop which I managed for her but after ongoing problems it was closed at the end of last year.
At the beginning of this year I accepted a position as finance officer for our Accounting firm and I now also undertake debt management and recovery. This is a service contract position and the contract term is 2 years. Before taking this position the firm was informed that I intended to take time off for a holiday early in this year. Thay are fully aware and agree to this condition.
Ms Pojanna is in the process of scaling back some of her business ventures in Bangkok and over the next few months will be moving her main operation to the northern part of the country. This has mainly been caused by the ongoing political unrest and protests affecting the sales of some of her larger customers. After this financial year Ms Postjana intends to reduce her involvement in the business to a form of semi-retirement. I have been informed that after I return from holidays I will be expected to take on a more managerial role.
Ms Postjana business is the wholesale distributor, area management, retail marketing management and wholesale distributor of a line of products for several different companies. Their products include well known brands of food and health supplements, coffee tea and beverage products, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, toiletries and a small number of children's and hobby lines.
I have included the following papers as evidence of my employment.
